The 44th annual conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IECON) was held in the historic Omni Shoreham Hotel, Washington D.C., USA last October 21-23, 2018.
IECON 2018 selected 1,000 papers and invited a record-breaking number of attendees of all IECON conferences.
The conference held numerous keynotes, tutorials, panels, and other special activities. The featured keynote speakers are Dr Dushan Boroyevich of Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (FIEEE) and industry practitioner Mrs Susan Land. Dr Boroyevich has discussed his subject is ‘Future Electronic Energy System’. Whereas, Mrs Land explained about ‘Cyber Security Considerations for Today’s Industrial Control Systems’.
Guided by Prof Sehoon Oh, researcher Dasol Cheon and MS student Hanul Jeong confidently represented MCL in IECON 2018. Dasol Cheon presented about ‘Acceleration-based Force estimation in Series-elastic actuator’. While Hanul Jeong explained his study, ‘Unknown Frequency Vibration Suppression Control of Linear Motor Stage’.
